Mazak Variaxis i-700 — 5-axis simultaneous machining with 1,100 mm of Y travel
The Variaxis i700 mills in five axes simultaneously: the trunnion table tilts from -120° to +30° and rotates ±360°. The table takes workpieces up to Ø 700 × 500 mm weighing up to 700 kg.
With 630 / 1,100 / 600 mm of travel and rapid traverse up to 60 m/min it also covers longer components. The spindle delivers 35 kW at 18,000 rpm in an SK-40 taper.
The equipment includes a Renishaw RMP 600 probe and coolant through the spindle at 70 bar. Added to that are tool tip control for 5-axis simultaneous machining and a KNOLL coolant system with a paper band filter. Built 2020, Smooth X control.
