What sets the INTEGREX apart from a turning center with live tooling?
What separates an INTEGREX from a turning center with live tooling is the milling spindle: it sits not in the turret but on a swiveling B-axis above the main turning spindle, driven backlash-free through a roller gear cam and indexed in 0.0001° increments. Combined with the Y-axis, that delivers true simultaneous 5-axis machining rather than just radial and axial drilling patterns.
- Swivel range — depends on the model; for the INTEGREX i-150, Mazak quotes -10° to 190°
- i / i-H generations — Y-axis is standard; for the i-H series, Mazak quotes 210 to 300 mm of travel depending on machine size
- Older series — Y-axis was an option, identifiable by the model suffix: 100Y, 300Y or 200 SY
What do the suffixes S, T, ST and H mean?
The letters after the model number describe the configuration. For purchasing, this is the decision that matters most: an i-200S can finish a part on the second spindle, an i-200 without the S cannot.

Both turning spindles are C-axis controlled and can be synchronized for part transfer. The tool magazine with automatic tool changer is equally defining for the series, but its capacity varies considerably within the same model designation.
Magazine capacity, tool holder and spindle interface therefore belong in every inquiry — we confirm them from the datasheet of the specific machine.
Which Mazatrol generation is fitted — and what does that mean?
When buying used, the control determines day-to-day usability and the programming environment. Every generation handles EIA/ISO G-code from your CAM system alongside Mazatrol conversational programming.
Matching control to build year is only a rough guide, though: overlaps and non-standard configurations do occur.

- Fusion 640MT Pro — 200-III T/ST and 300-III
- MAZATROL Matrix and Matrix 2 / Nexus — Generation IV, e-1060 V II, i-200S

Which INTEGREX format suits which part?
The machine format should match your part geometry. The core 100/200/300/400 series and the i and i-H series follow a lathe-like layout, size increasing with the number — Mazak quotes a 6-inch chuck on the i-100, 8 inches on the i-200 and 10 inches on the i-350. Simultaneous 5-axis capability is something we verify case by case. QUICK TURN, HYPER QUADREX and VARIAXIS have no turning spindle with second spindle and lower turret like the INTEGREX.

Which size suits your workpiece?
Your choice should hinge less on the model number than on five points: chuck size, distance between centers, second spindle, tool capacity and control generation. Size grows with the number — Mazak states the following chuck sizes:

Frequently asked questions about the Mazak INTEGREX
What condition are the used INTEGREX machines in, and how is that verified?
Every machine is inspected and documented by our own technicians before sale — the condition of the main and milling spindles, guideways, B-axis, tool changer and control, operating hours where they can be read out, plus the accessories and tooling included. On an INTEGREX, the B-axis and second spindle deserve particular scrutiny, because the accuracy of done-in-one machining depends on them. An inspection under power can be arranged by appointment.
What warranty do I get when buying a used machine?
We sell B2B, and the scope of liability for defects is expressly set out in the purchase contract — so you see it before signing, not after delivery. Up front you receive the condition report and inspection documentation, with an under-power inspection on request. We agree commitments on function at handover, commissioning and rework individually for each machine — raise them before ordering so they go into the quote in writing.
Which Mazatrol control is fitted, and what does that mean for programming?
That depends on the build year: older INTEGREX machines run MAZATROL Fusion 640MT or 640MT Pro, Generation IV runs Matrix or Matrix 2, and newer machines run SmoothX or SmoothAi. Which control and software level is actually installed is something we verify machine by machine and state in the quote — going by build year alone is not reliable. Every generation processes G-code from your CAM system alongside Mazatrol conversational programming.
Do you handle shipping, installation and commissioning?
Yes. We organize dismantling, transport, installation and commissioning as one end-to-end service, including operator training on request. TÖRNER ships worldwide — export documentation and sea-freight packaging for overseas shipments are part of the service. Plan foundation and utility requirements as well as crane and access dimensions early: ST variants with a bar feeder or gantry loader need considerably more floor space than the bare machine footprint.

Leasing and hire purchase are arranged through our financing partners; terms and durations come directly from the partner and depend on creditworthiness, machine age and investment volume. Buying your existing machines, on the other hand, is something we do ourselves — including as part of a changeover, where one INTEGREX replaces a previously two-stage turning and milling process.
